The language of Radical Love through the performative arts
"Love is life. All, everything that I understand, I understand only because I love. Everything is, everything exists, only because I love." (Leo Tolstoy)
Theatre is the simplest form of representation. It has been around since the dawn of human civilisation and continues to connect us in the most wonderful ways. It mirrors our condition, allows us to feel empathy. And thus, inevitably so, it must rescue our relation with the 'other' amid a society marked by social isolation and loneliness. A society thirsty for love.
In the 2023 Boom Festival chapter, love is at the centre of it all. Radical and unconditional love will manifest itself in all its forms, through human scale performances. By people, for people — without machines, magic nor imaginary beings. Get ready for a collective experience of human connection.
The program is continuously updated as we journey towards the festival dates.
(Selfie sticks, mobile phones and national flags are not transcendental or psychedelic at all. Just the opposite. They disrupt the flow of Here & Now and interfere with the state of Oneness.)
