Bike, Liftshare Or Bus Your Way To Boomland!
There are several ways of getting to Boom and it doesn’t need to cost the Earth. Here, we have highlighted three options: liftshare for those ready for a road trip; cycling for people up for an adventure; bus for groups and individuals excited about sharing the journey with friends new and old.
Probably THE most convenient way of getting to Boom. Simply get to your Boom Bus Stop in Portugal or Spain, get on the bus and enjoy the luxury of getting transported straight to the festival.
It’s hassle-free, fun, cheap and prevents CO2 emissions.
ECO FACTS 2023:
157 Boom Buses were available for use.
They transported 20% of all Boomers.
This reduction contributed to the prevention of further CO2 emissions.

Belgian Boomers Joost and Stan helped to kickstart the Boom by Bike project when they got in touch to say they planned to cycle to the festival.
It took them 40 days to cycle 2,700 km to get here, telling us on arrival: “Everyone should do this!”
Inspired by their positivity and sense of adventure, we took their word for it and launched Boom by Bike in 2010. It became another aspect of the festival’s ethos to promote a more conscious, ecological and fun way to get here.
Over the last decade, we have had the honour of documenting and sharing the stories of countless Boomers who felt inspired to bike it here too.
In 2023, we were proud to welcome bikers to the Boom Bike Village for the fourth edition running!
ECO FACTS 2023:
65 Boomers and Boom team members came to Boom by Bike, making a total of 52.199 km. This helped save several thousand litres of fossil fuel.
More than 535 bicycles where repaired and decored during the festival.
Many others reached out via email and joined us at the Bike Village.
