What do we truly mean when we invoke the word love? Which angles and perspectives can help us to collectively move beyond the violence, domination, discrimination that have polluted our relationships? How can we reconnect to an understanding of all life as self, and still proceed along the path of collective liberation? 

In this talk, South African activist Ashanti Kunene will unpack the need to unlearn the old ways of discriminatory “love”, in order to be able to grasp again the meaning of Divine Love, where Oneness with the Whole and an intimate knowing of all life as Self is at the very core. It is that knowledge - if genuine and truly held - that leaves no room for violence, whatever its form. 

Using the framework of “unlearning”, Ashanti shares how we can move towards Divine Love as a modality of being alive in the world today.
