Reconnect with Earth through the rhythms and grooves of its people

The Sacred Fire is a space for reconnection and grounding. A Boomland space where a program of hands-on workshops meets blissful corners of arts and people. Music is a central part of the Sacred Fire.

Everyday concerts and DJ sets from different influences are presented to the Boom community with a message: let's connect with sounds from across the world to dive deeper into what it means to be human.

The Covid-19 pandemic reframed the curatorial approach. We want to honour the local and internactional music community based in Portugal. In the Boom homecountry, the pandemic is having a profound impact on the cultural sector and in the music scene in particular. More than 25,000 shows have been cancelled and approximatelly 100,000 culture professionals have been affected.

Festivals, small venues, theatres, clubs, bars, independent spaces, are a beating heart of the music circuit. They are part of a creative underground music ecosystem that is at risk, involving not only artists, but several professionals.

Boom Festival is one active agent of the culture movement in Portugal. Amid the lack of strong public support for the creative and culture sector, we are taking a stance with the music at Sacred Fire.

The program is fully designed around specific daily concepts that are expressed by artists based in the country. This measure is not a game changer but it supports the local music community, with talented artists from across the world, with a message of hope, self-value and self-respect. The quality and music diversity is phenomenal, we can't wait to present it to you!

Support your scene.

The program is continuously updated as we journey closer towards the festival dates.

(Selfie sticks, mobile phones and national flags are not transcendental or psychedelic at all. Just the opposite. They represent the dark side of the Anthropocene, as they disrupt the flow of Here & Now and interfere with the state of Oneness.)
