Sixth generation event promoter Juan Arnau talks strategy and hardships under Covid scenario
The electronic music scene was one of many that was badly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. As the world shut down, event promoters, teams, artists and organisations had to face a scenario of unparalleled uncertainty and envision ways to cope with it.
We talked with Juan Arnau Jr , a sixth generation event promoter from Spanish family Arnau. They have been around in the entertainment industry since 1870 and were pioneers in introducing electronic music in Spain. As founder and CEO of Elrow, a global brand and party concept with 140 events in more than 40 countries, we get his perspective as an electronic music promoter on dealing with the pandemic, family legacy, organisational strategy, dialogue with artists and the influence of Psytrance.
