BOOM LOCATION – Idanha-a-Nova
WHERE IS THE BOOM FESTIVAL?
The Boom Festival is in Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal. It is situated in a beautiful place in Portugal’s inland, near the Spanish border.
It is about 250 km from Lisboa. The closest Portuguese main city is Castelo Branco.
From Madrid you take around 350 km and the closest Spanish town is Cáceres.
HOW TO GET THERE?
BOOM BUS
The Boom Bus is a charter bus service for a safer, more conformable and sustainable Boom Experience. It is part of our environmental program as a public transport, aiming to decrease CO 2 emissions.
This service provides direct and comfortable transport from Lisbon, Madrid, Paris and Grenoble directly to the festival, returns and possible connection with the After Boom.
Boomers traveling with in this service will have the possibility to get inside the festival one day before the rest of the public and ensure the best spots to camp.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTS
If you opt to come using Public Transports, please follow these steps:
1. If you come from Lisbon / Oporto take the Bus (www.rede-expressos.pt) or Train (www.cp.pt) to Castelo Branco. If you come from Madrid take the train (with stop in Entroncamento station) to Castelo Branco, the closest city from the festival.
2. If you arrive on 28th or 29th July and departure on the 3rd or 4th August you can get a direct shuttle between Castelo Branco and Boom Festival. This local shuttle will cost 8 euros/trip and buses will arrive and departure from the festival main gate and Castelo Branco train station during the day.
3. If you come or departure between 30th July and 2nd August you should take a local Bus from Castelo Branco to Idanha-a-Nova, the closest village from Boom. From Idanha-a-Nova bus station we’ll have local buses that will ensure the connection with Boom Festival main gate during the day and will cost 4 euros/trip.

FROM LISBOA
Take the A1 motorway – Exit A23 direction Torres Novas. Then direction Castelo Branco. Continue on the A23 after Castelo Branco. Exit Lardosa / Idanha-a-Nova. Follow the signs to Idanha-a-Nova. At the roundabout of Idanha-a-Nova follow the signs to the Boom Festival! Drive safe. Come in peace and bring love! Caravan and Camping Park within the Boom Land. Parking at the door of the Boom Land.
FROM MADRID
From Madrid get A5 motorway, direction Plasencia and Portugal. Autovia Autonomica EX-A1 direction Plasencia. Follow to Ex-108 to Coria/Portugal. Follow the signs to Portugal. In Portugal, follow the signs to Idanha-a-Nova. At the roundabout of Idanha-a-Nova follow the signs to the Boom Festival! Drive safe. Come in peace and bring love! Caravan and Camping Park within the Boom Land. Parking at the door of the Boom Land.
